Coastal Inspired Bedroom
Brooklyn Heights, NY
Located in a Brooklyn Heights apartment, at street level, this master bedroom lacked light and felt somewhat confined. My client asked me to help brighten and soften the look of her bedroom, while reusing selected existing furnishings and working with the architectural envelope. As a design concept, I drew my inspiration from the coast. I crafted an overall white palette with aqua accents, and combined metal, glass and natural elements to create a soothing textural balance. We anchored the design with an expansive, white Flokati rug centered in the room, and added airiness with a seashell pendant above.
